A Day in the Life: Warner Theatre Manager Describes Busy December

From the desk of Barry Copple, Warner Theatre operations manager:

Hello Erie,

We are well into fall now and have been very busy here at the Grand Historic Warner Theatre! We saw 17 different events in October and November! December promises to be just as exciting with a very busy and special month because we will host seven Christmas events! Starting November 28th-29th, our own Christmas Winter Wonderland Art and Craft Show, December 1st – The Mannheim Steamroller, December 5th- two performances with the Erie Philharmonic, December 12th-13th – The Amanda Post and Friends Christmas Show, December 14th-15th Cirque Dreams Holidaze, December 19th-20th The Nutcracker, December 22nd, for the first time at the Warner THeatre, country superstar Kenny Rogers brings his Christmas show “Once Again It’s Christmas” concert, and ending on yes, Christmas Eve, December 24th Grace Church will hold services and entertainment at 3:30pm and 6pm. Wow! What a month! With such a wide variety of entertainment, you should have no problem finding something you enjoy!

Being born and raised in Erie, it always amazes me when I meet touring people from all over the country, if not the world, who have such wonderful things to say about this beautiful venue. Working in it every day one tends to take much of it for granted. When I get the opportunity to show people around I hear such fantastic remarks. It gives me a wonderful feeling to hear this about the City I’m from, work in, play in and love! I hope you feel the same. So “Get Up and Go” — come to downtown Erie, check out a show, enjoy what this city has to offer and enjoy yourselves! Have a wonderful holiday season!

We’ll talk again,

Barry
