Jim Waters, owner of JAW Hockey Enterprises LP, announced that the previously announced acquisition of the Erie Otters has no been completed.

“Today is a very special day for me. I am thrilled to be the new owner of the Erie Otters,” Waters said. “The team is fortunate to play in a first class facility in front of great fans. WE will now work to enhance the product, our presentation and brand,” Waters added. “I would like to that the OHL Commissioner David Branch and the OHL Board of Governors for their support and approval.”

“Finally, I would like to acknowledge Sherry Bassin. Sherry brought the Otters to Erie in 1996 and worked hard to build this franchise to what it is today. I know the Erie community is appreciative of his efforts.”
